ReactFast raise £3000 for local charity

The kind and caring staff of Birmingham based ReactFast recently raised £3000 for a local children’s charity at their annual Summer Ball, August 2005.

Held at the Burlington Hotel in the city centre, ReactFast staff donned tuxedos and ball gowns for this special occasion. With an excellent turn out, everyone was in good spirits when it came to the auction - with various gifts on offer from an i-pod to a cuddly toy and a wide-screen TV to Anne Summers vouchers!

Richard Pougher, Strategic Operations Director at ReactFast, took the role of Auctioneer for the evening. His enthusiasm soon got the bids rising. Members of staff from all departments got involved, offering very generous amounts in order to out bid each other. After an exciting half an hour, the end result was a grand total of £3000.

As a proud Birmingham based company, who take great interest in the issues and concerns of the local community, it was a natural choice that the donation should go to a highly deserving midlands based charity – The Acorns Children’s Hospice.

With hospices throughout the Midlands, including Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester, Acorns cares for children who are life limited and unlikely to reach adulthood. The charity provides support for whole families with 24 hour, seven day a week care.
